If last week was a thrill ride, stocks were the main attraction. Good thing we had our scanners and alerts dialed in. I was going cross eyed with all the runners. TPST? It’s the stuff of legends, first pinged at .29 and then rocketing to 11.50. In my decade plus of experience trading and monitoring the markets. It the top daily runner I’ve ever seen, beats HKD DRYS and other prior monsters.  This week we had some monster overnight hold alerts, including ACXP ran 137% PRZO ran 40% Top momentum alerts were TPST first alert came at .29 before running to 11.50, one of the best one day runners I’ve ever seen in my decade plus of monitoring and trading the markets. HUBC was brought to the team early as well, we had a list ready to go from the Israeli conflict, this is where our research is superior and keep the team ahead of the game. So many runners this week, Winners everyday!

Here at ALERTSANDNEWS.COM, our DNA is consistency and precision. From momentum plays to overnights, swings, options, and dividend picks – we’ve got the spectrum covered. AMC: screening of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” made some serious noise at the box offices, raking in an impressive estimated $95M-$97M in the US and Canada over the weekend, according to Reuters. AMC has been buzzing on our radar recently, making multiple appearances on the watchlist. With this kind of traction, it’s worth seeing if the momentum carries into the upcoming trading session. Let’s look at some oversold and/or highly shorted stocks.

Understanding oversold and highly shorted stocks is crucial for traders and investors as it prepares them to seize potential opportunities. Oversold stocks might represent a bargain if they are undervalued due to excessive selling. Highly shorted stocks are poised for what’s called a short squeeze. A rapid price increase that can occur when short sellers scramble to cover their positions. By staying informed, investors can be better prepared to navigate the market.

CDT: Man, remember that buzz right after its IPO? Since then, CDT’s been taking a nose-dive. The RSI? Practically scraping the bottom. And let’s talk about that float – it’s super thin. So, we’re keeping a sharp eye on volume ratios. Definitely one to watch closely over the next few weeks.

ESLA: Man, this one’s taken some serious hits lately. With a float hovering around the 2.9M mark and not a ton of shorts in play, it’s catching my attention. That RSI? Scream worthy levels of oversold. We’re definitely keeping this one under the microscope.

CUTR: Back for a second week on our watchlist. This one’s been catching our eye. The RSI’s deep in the trenches and the MACD’s looking like it took a cliff dive. The float’s sitting around 18M, and get this – about 36% of it is shorted (According to one source). Watch the volume closely; a bounce could be in the cards.

HOFV: Here’s another that’s been making waves on our screens. That RSI? Deep in the basement. With its rapid descent, we’re keeping a close watch for any volume spike. Stay sharp and keep this one front and center on your watchlist.

Oversold beat up stocks to eye,

The forthcoming week is loaded with significant economic indicators and speakers that could influence market sentiment. Kicking off on Monday, October 16th, market participants will be eyeing the Empire State manufacturing survey. A previous score of 1.9 sets the stage, but how will it fare this time around? Notably, Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker will be addressing the market twice on the same day. Come Tuesday, U.S. retail sales for September will be under the microscope. With the previous month’s numbers in mind, will we see a continuation or a shift in trends? Other key indicators include Industrial production and the Home builder confidence index for October. Throughout the day, several Federal Reserve voices, including Fed Govs. Michelle Bowman and Chris Waller, will be making their remarks.

Wednesday brings attention to housing, with housing starts and building permit numbers queued up for release. The middle of the week also sees a substantial lineup of Fed speakers, including New York Fed President John Williams and Fed Gov. Lisa Cook. By Thursday, the market will be keenly focusing on initial jobless claims for October 14th and the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey. As the week begins to close, Friday remains light on data but holds anticipation for remarks from Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester.

All in all, this upcoming week promises a blend of vital data points and insights from several key figures in the Fed. Market participants will undoubtedly be on their toes, navigating through these updates.
