Let’s look at some oversold and/or highly shorted stocks.

Understanding oversold and highly shorted stocks is crucial for traders and investors as it prepares them to seize potential opportunities. Oversold stocks might represent a bargain if they are undervalued due to excessive selling. Highly shorted stocks are poised for what’s called a short squeeze. A rapid price increase that can occur when short sellers scramble to cover their positions. By staying informed, investors can be better prepared to navigate the market.

BLNK: This stock has truly been hammered down, presenting a potential opportunity. Both MACD and RSI indicators point toward a highly oversold status. With a sizable float of 60 million, liquidity isn’t an issue. But what makes BLNK especially interesting is the considerable 27% short float. This suggests that a positive catalyst could trigger a short squeeze, potentially pushing the stock upwards. Keep an eye on this one for unexpected moves.

IPSO: For traders with a good memory, IPSO might ring a bell. A few months ago, this stock made notable moves and now, it’s back on the radar but for a different reason – it’s considerably beaten down. With a relatively tight float of 1.5M. it provides a compelling setup. Low float stocks like IPSO can be volatile and can move quickly on significant volume or news catalysts. Given its recent downturn, it’s worth monitoring for a potential rebound or bounce play. Keep it on the radar

CDT: Fresh off its IPO, CDT has seemingly taken a one way journey downwards. Technical indicators paint a telling picture: the RSI is deeply entrenched in the oversold territory, suggesting an overextension in its bearish momentum. Meanwhile, the MACD has converged, hinting at a potential shift. While the short interest isn’t particularly high, the significant pullback does highlight its beaten status. This recent market entrant could be ripe for a turnaround or, at the very least, it’s worth keeping an eye on for signs of bottoming out or a reversal.

HOFV: Back for its second week on our watchlist, HOFV is earnestly attempting to maintain its support levels. As we analyze the play, it’s crucial to monitor the volume ratios, which could provide vital clues about potential price movements. With a relatively low float of 4M, any significant trading activity could lead to notable price fluctuations. Furthermore, the stock has attracted some short interest, with about 12% of its float being shorted. This combination of factors makes HOFV a stock to watch

As October winds down and November commences, the economic calendar is packed with noteworthy events that financial analysts and investors will be closely observing. On Monday, October 30th, the calendar remains clear, offering a brief reprieve. However, Tuesday, the 31st, will see data releases such as the Employment Cost Index for Q3, the S&P Case-Shiller home price index, the Chicago Business Barometer, and a read on consumer confidence for October.

The pace intensifies on Wednesday, November 1st, with releases spanning from the ADP employment figures for October to the anticipated ISM manufacturing data. This day is particularly pivotal as all eyes will be set on the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, followed by Fed Chairman Powell’s press conference at 2:30 pm.

Heading into Thursday, markets will analyze the initial jobless claims and Q3 productivity data, alongside factory orders for September. Finally, Friday the 3rd promises to be a significant day for labor data enthusiasts. The U.S. nonfarm payroll is expected to report an addition of 336,000 jobs for October, while the unemployment rate sits at 3.8%. Additionally, attention will be given to hourly wage figures, with a month-on-month increase of 0.2% and a year-over-year increase of 4.2%.
