Let’s look at some oversold and/or highly shorted stocks.

Grasping the dynamics of oversold and heavily shorted stocks is key for traders and investors looking to capitalize on emerging opportunities. Oversold stocks can be hidden gems, potentially undervalued due to market overreaction. On the other hand, stocks with high short interest are prime candidates for a short squeeze, a situation where a swift price surge happens as short sellers rush to close their positions. Being well-informed about these scenarios equips investors with the insights needed to adeptly maneuver through market fluctuations

DOGZ:  Recent splitter. Showing signs of a turnaround, with its MACD nearing a cross and a very low RSI, indicating it’s oversold. With a recent split bringing its float to about 1.5M and a moderate short float, this stock deserves attention for potential volume surge. Keep DOGZ on the radar.

UTRS: New addition to our watchlist, this one is deeply in oversold status, as indicated by its RSI touching the floor. While its MACD remains bearish, there’s potential for movement, especially with a float under 1M. Watch for changes in volume as a key indicator for a possible surge. Keep an eye on UTRS in the upcoming sessions.

MDAI, a low float stock. Its float has been diminishing recently, hinting at potential for smoother price action ahead. A key aspect to monitor is the volume ratio; a notable change could signal a potential reversal. Keep a close watch on MDAI for any shifts in momentum.

AMC: This one is currently in a challenging phase, struggling to find solid footing. The key support level to watch is around 7.05. With an RSI deeply in oversold territory and a bearish MACD yet to show signs of convergence, it’s a critical juncture. The stock also has a considerable short float of about 10%. Observers should keep a close eye on AMC for any potential shifts or stabilization at this support level.

Oversold beat up stocks to eye,

The upcoming week in the financial markets, starting November 20, is slated with key economic reports before the markets pause for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and a shortened trading session on Friday.

On Monday, the spotlight is on the U.S. leading economic indicators for October, expected to mirror the previous month’s -0.7% decline. Adding to the day’s events, Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin is set for a TV appearance at noon. The focus then shifts on Tuesday with the release of October’s existing home sales data, projected at a -1.5% decrease, an improvement over the previous -2.0%. Additionally, the minutes from the Fed’s Oct. 31-Nov. 1 FOMC meeting will be closely scrutinized for insights into future monetary policy decisions at 2:00 pm.

Wednesday brings a suite of important data: Initial jobless claims for the week ending Nov. 18 are forecasted at 229,000, slightly lower than the previous 231,000. Durable-goods orders for October are expected to show a sharp decline to -3.5% from September’s robust 4.6% increase. The day also features the final consumer sentiment index for November, which sees a slight uptick to 60.8 from an initial 60.4.

The markets will be closed on Thursday, November 23, in observance of Thanksgiving. Trading will resume on Friday, but it will be a half-day session, closing early. The shortened day will still bring significant insights with the release of the S&P flash U.S. services and manufacturing PMI for November, expected to show slight decreases from the previous month, indicating a cautious approach by businesses amid ongoing economic uncertainties.

Investors and analysts alike will be keenly watching these reports to gauge the economic health and trajectory as the year draws towards a close.
